Asian Bodywork Classes

Lyn is a certified practitioner of Zen Shiatsu and Jin Shin Jyutsu®. She has taught Zen Shiatsu Therapy, Barefoot Shiatsu, Moxibustion Therapy, Energetic Acupressure, Chi Gung/Meridian Exercise Classes at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, Arizona for the past decade. Lyn can provide you with a class schedule at SWIHA in Tempe, Arizona or tailor private instruction or group workshops to meet your needs.

• Zen Shiatsu, Front Posture and Healing Sounds. A beginning class teaching the five element theory, 6 healing sounds and front posture form. 14 hours (one weekend)

• Zen Shiatsu, Back Posture. A beginning class teaching the basic philosophy of Zen Shiatsu, touch, and back posture form. 14 hours (one weekend)

• Zen Shiatsu, Side Posture. A beginning class teaching the basic philosophy of Zen Shiatsu, touch, and side posture form. 14 hours (one weekend)

• Zen Shiatsu, Chair/Sitting Posture. A beginning class teaching chair shiatsu for clients seated on a desk chair or seated on a futon or massage table. 36 hours (2 weekends or 5 days)

• Barefoot Shiatsu. A beginning class, teaches the philosophy of Barefoot Shiatsu, basic skills of using the feet on the body in prone and supine position. 14 hours (one weekend)

• Moxibustion Therapy, Learn to treat cold conditions, move energy through the meridians and warm the muscles with heat application by burning mugwart near the surface of the skin. A beginning class. 12 hours (1 1/2 days)

• Zen Shiatsu Advanced. An advanced class teaching the 12 surface meridian pathways, Zen Shiatsu philosophy and a simplified 5 element treatment plan Student learn a short therapy for each of the 12 meridians. 14 hours (one weekend)

• Jin Shin Jyutsu® Self Help. Book One, Two and Three. A course covering the application of Jin Shin Jyutsu® as self help. Explore the process of "now know myself". Recognize the wisdom of the body, interpret the messages provided and utilize them to restore balance. 14 hours (one weekend) or 4 three hour blocks

• Meridian Exercise Class. A beginning course which includes Masanaga's traditional meridian exercises, the Five Tibetan Rites and Healing Sounds Chi Gung. one weekend or four 3 1/2 hour classes
